Absolutely stunning hotel, right in the heart of Avila, next to the stunning City walls & 2 minutes walk from the Cathedral. It's a beautiful building with lovely, simple but very stylish rooms and a fantastic little Bar/Cafe on the ground floor. We were there in January, so not a lot of 'outdoor dining/drinking opportunities', but there is a wonderful garden with a separate cocktail bar at the front of the hotel which I imagine is fantastic in Spring/Summer. Everything in the City is within walking distance (churches, market, restaurants, museums, shops, bars), and the famous City Wall Walk (about 1.4 miles) is well worth the effort. Fabulous staff in the hotel, both on Reception and in the Cafe. Really helpful and very friendly, they gave us some great tips for local restaurants and bars. There is also on site car parking, which isn't cheap but is really, really convenient if, like us, you're arriving on four wheels! Stylish, classy and thankfully, not up itself! Would highly recommend the hotel if you're ever in the area.

This extremely fancy 4-star hotel is located just within the old city walls. The city of Ávila is tiny and everything is within walking distance. The large but cosy room and exquisite bathroom invite you to stay in bed all day long - don't; go and explore the old city! Or try to discover the parts of the old city wall you still find in the hotel! 😊 And finally a room where you can use 2 suitcases without having to leave one on the floor! Breakfast is good, but nothing special - just fancy. It's a small buffet, but you can ask for almost anything; they'll be happy to prepare or cook for you. The hotel has an enclosed parking lot, which comes in handy for your (rental) car. And they let us stay till after noon the day we checked out!

Loved this hotel. It's a beautiful building in a wonderful location, but what really made it for us, was the outstanding staff. Every person we encountered during our stay went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We really couldn't have asked for better service before, during and after our stay. Our room overlooked the garden at the front of the hotel and was very quiet with excellent sound proofing. The bed was super comfortable and the linens were of very high quality, all making for a very relaxing stay. The shower was great. We tried breakfast, dinner and tapas in the gastrobar and all were excellent.

Location was amazing and the staff were wonderful and accommodating for our family and baby. Even cleaning staff when they noticed I went to the bathroom with my baby went of her way to ask me if I needed a changing table, and she led me to a different bathroom. The building and grounds are stunning, the bed was comfortable and the rooms clean, and it was very convenient to have three restaurants available onsite. Staff in the restaurants and hotel were all super nice and accommodating which makes all the difference when traveling with a small baby.

What a lovely hotel, ideally situted in the heart of the old town. The restaurant and bar/cafe were excellent. The city wall forms part of the hotel and also part of our room. It is only 10 years since the building was renovated and converted to a hotel, to a very high standard, but it retains its sense of history. Our room was perfect and very quiet, with a very large and comfortable bed. We were there during the Spain wide power outage, and the staff could not have been more helpful. The breakfast was good, with items freshly prepared to order.
